Dr. Halabo is a native of San Diego. He graduated with honors from The Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and he earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara in the study of Microbiology.
Dr. Halabo completed his dental residency at The Loma Linda Veterans Hospital learning special techniques in working with fearful patients and providing comfortable dental care. He is an adjunct faculty member at UCSD and he lectures to other dentists on a variety of topics including advanced dental technology and integration.
Dr. Halabo is an active member of the American Dental association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Association, Clinical Research Associates group, Conference of Innovative Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dentistry is Dr. Halabo’s first love and when he’s not in the office you can usually find him involved in providing dental care to the homeless of San Diego. He spends his leisure time in attending or participating in sporting events with his family and friends.
Our office at 239 F Street is only a few blocks from historic downtown Chula Vista. Easy access from either the I-5 or I-805 freeways makes it a convenient drive just 10 minutes south of downtown San Diego. We have a large, lighted parking lot on the premises and parking is always free. We offer the latest state-of-the-art dental technology in a relaxed garden setting. Satellite TV, private headphones and a wide selection of DVDs make your experience more comfortable.

Lisa ~ Front Office
Lisa warmly welcomes every patient and strives to make sure they are completely happy with their dental experience. She is expert at answering questions about dental insurance benefits, appointments and various payment options. Lisa started as Dr. Halabo's assistant and is also well trained in all clinical procedures. She says, "It's exciting to work with a dedicated team who are determined to give the best care possible." In her spare time Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going to the beach.
Brenda ~ Dental Assistant
Brenda enjoys working as our Dental Assistant in a warm and friendly environment. She is responsible for many of the routine tasks that help assure a great patient experience. Brenda is passionate about providing the highest quality care to all our patients. She says, "Dr. Halabo does extraordinary dental work and is the most thorough dentist I have ever worked with or visited." In her free time, Brenda enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Shannon ~ Registered Dental Hygienist
Shannon earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from Southwestern College and also holds a BS from SDSU in Public Health. She is knowledgeable and has a genuine concern for the well being of each person she treats. Shannon says, “This practice prides itself on delivering exceptional service and care. We use the most current technology to provide the best treatment and preventive services.” Shannon helps patients understand and attain excellent oral health. In her spare time she enjoys painting, scrap booking, reading and hiking.
